Very Frusterating

Recently I acquired a Ruger Gunsite Scout Rifle.  I have been waiting to take it to the range and give it a try.  The weather has been cold but there were a few nice days.  The main reason I have not been to the range is because I have not been able to find ammo!  Yeah!  I can't find .308.  Internet is just about out, walmart not a chance, local gun shops are empty.  I really like the idea of buying guns chambered in normal loadings like; .308, .30-06, .30-30, .22lr, and so on.  Usually you can find these cartridges anywhere; however, with recent political noise on guns this is not the case.

The Plan is to take the rifle to the range with 3-5 types of ammo.  I am going to get less expensive ammo for it  like Remington core-lokt, Winchester Super-X, Federal Fusion, and so on.  I have killed quite a few deer with these three ammo choices and I have not had a problem.  I feel the very philosophy behind the scout rifle is one of affordability.  If ammo listed above can shoot well out of my rifle then I am going to stick with it.    When ammo starts coming available I will  Load Up, and see what works well.
