Bass on the 4th of July

I just want to wish everyone a happy 4th of July! And then brag about the killing I made today out on the Clam Beds.  Jan, Nick and I left the dock with Thunder Storms all around us.  As fate would have it, the weather held out, we caught bass, and raked a bunch of clams.  Check out my video of us catching the bass in two feet of water!  Striped Bass on the 4th of July  Not bad for three guys in a boat loaded with gear.

    1. The bigger fish just pushed east and i missed it because i was working almost every day in June. The up side is the fish are settling into their summer time holding patterns so if the weather remains stable the fishing should be nice and predictable. High Five to you for the Pair of 20's!

  2. Good stuff.

Going to try night surf casting up on Plum Island next week. Hopefully I will catch a striper.

    1. Last fall i had to go up to Deer Island for work and i must say that place looks like a great area. I would get a rattling Storm Chug Bug like the one in the video and toss that around, you will catch something.

  3. OK, now you have taken some beautiful bass and a bounty of clams. I now would like to see your culinary skills put to use. You have showed us great dishes in the past. Man I can't wait.

    1. JGR, the pasta and clam sauce is one of the easiest dinners to make. If you do it with a can of clams i will cost you around 10 bucks to make.
