Sunday I was able to get out on the ice with HVAC Nick, Jan D. and Angry Mike. We got a late start because we had to get bait and other things, but we eventually made it. We were treated to a rare treat, clear ice. Most of the time the ice gets rained or snowed on. This gives the ice the white look. When it gets real cold real fast clear, black ice is made. Black ice is very strong and slick. 6 inches of it looks like 2 inches. After last year's "ice out season" I was so happy to get out. HVAC Nick was a first timer on the ice, so we brought the tip-ups along to give him the experince. He got and experince for sure, but we only got two fish. Check out the Video

DeleteBesides the fact you wrote that only two fish were caught that come from behind the camera smirk lead me to figure you were going to get a good laugh at your buddy's expense. I got a laugh too.
ReplyDeleteEd, yeah we got him pretty good this time. I talked to a friend of mine and they took a beating too on the ice. I think it has something to do with the full moon.
