First off i want to say i really enjoyed my time off today. The last 4 weeks have combined to become one long marathon of work for me. Having everything go as planned on my day off was great, and as I write I am preparing the spoils for dinner. I planed a 3 phase trip in an attempt to get in as much as i possibly could.
On the way back we decided try and squeeze a few more fish out of the rocks during low tide. Yup, more fish. These fish ate up the poppers and hydro pencils we threw. After all was said and done we figured we caught about 20+ fish for the morning. One fish was a keeper and the others were of all sizes from 10 inches to 24 inches. Not a bad schoolie bite.
So, my 3 phase plan went off with out a hitch and everything turned out great. I absolutely love fishing low tide amongst the rocks in the fog. The speed clamming was the icing on the cake. The weather held out and we were able to have a great 4 hours catching sea creatures. I am making clam chowder for dinner tonight.
