almost there

I am sure by now, everyone has been bitten by the bass bug.

In The Wake

Have you ever seen a tree come down? how about giant waves crashing through a parking lot? How about a street light blowing over? I was able to bare witness to all of these things during our last weather system.

Finally!!!!!!!!!!

Calm winds, Sun shine, and warm temps have made the last 5 days the nicest days all year. I took advantage of the warm weather by taking my dog, Penny, for some long walks. I did walk by the Ripawaum River and noticed lots of nasty, big, black stone flies coming off like ash from a house fire. To bad there are no trout that inhabit that river. I also was able to get Meaghan, a new car. She had perfect weather to bring her 09 ford focus home. Today i will take penny for a ride over to my mom's house. She can run around all day while i go through the boat and get it ready for the long season a head.

Enough is Enough

Not much went on during the past week. Monday showed up with rain, so did Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Sometime during the night on Thursday it changed to snow, and it kept snowing until Saturday morning. There you have it, a whole week shot! I checked the weather for the next 15 days and it looks like there may be a few nice days ahead. I will spend them walking Penny at the beach. I also plan to read my new book, A Year Long Day. I can only hope that the weather warms up sooner than later and drives the bass out of the rivers as soon as possible.
